For the last 5 November NaNoWriMos I have been working on a novel called DUSK which this year has morphed into a different novel called MAGICAL BODIES. I didn't get to do a ton of writing this November, but I did get about 23,000 new words in, and I am pretty proud of myself for that.
But now I have started the arduous task of taking what could be used from DUSK and adding it to MAGICAL BODIES and starting a whole new plot outline.
I was really not excited about this step, although it's needed if I still want to work on this project. I didn't know what I was doing, hell, i still don't know what I'm doing with it. But yesterday felt really good and hopeful for the work.
I decided to go paragraph by paragraph in each chapter and writing down all the things that work and that don't. I used notecards to write down the plot points I do have and the ones I don't have so far. And it seems to be working, but I might have made a mistake by actually talking about this.
